Job Description

Overview:

Performs computerized imaging, knowledge of all equipment and monitors. Assist patients and physicians as needed.

Required Education:
High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Education:
Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology.

Necessary Skills:
1. Knowledge of computer software and ability to troubleshoot.
2. Ability to provide physical and/or psychological support to patients screening and patient limitations.

Required Licensure/Certifications:
BLS from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross

A minimum of one of the following license qualification/certification combinations:

License qualification/certification combination 1:
FL DOH license qualification: General Radiographer or Radiologist Assistant
Certification/registration: ARRT (R) Radiography. Within 1 year of hire or transfer into position must obtain ARRT (CT) Computed Tomography.

License qualification/certification combination 2:
FL DOH Iicense qualification: Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Certification/registration: ARRT (N) Nuclear Medicine Technology -OR- NMTCB, -AND- ARRT (CT) Computed Tomography

License qualification/certification combination 3:
FL DOH license qualification: Radiation Therapy Technologist
Certification/registration: ARRT (T) Radiation Therapy -AND- ARRT (CT) Computed Tomography

License qualification/certification combination 4:
FL DOH license qualification: General Radiographer, Radiologist Assistant, or Computed Tomography Certification/registration: ARRT (R) Radiography -AND- ARRT (CT) Computed Tomography

Required Experience:
Less than one year in computerized imaging (CT, x-ray, nuclear medicine, or radiation therapy), or graduate of a post-secondary CT certification program.

Preferred Experience:
One year of radiology experience within Diagnostic Imaging, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Therapy, or MRI and graduate of a post-secondary CT certification program or 1 year of CT imaging experience.
